ere Rodney Howard of Prineville passed away on Nov. 26, 2012. He was 81.
Mr. Howard was born in Wichita, Kan. on Dec. 23, 1930 to Chester and Dorothy (Phelps) Howard. He was raised and educated in Kansas and Colorado.
He married wife Marjorie in Colorado. He worked on farms, raising watermelons and tomatoes. He moved to Oregon in 1964, and worked as an electrician in the mills.
He married wife Helen in 1979. He attended college at Central Oregon Community College, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, in Prineville.
He loved hunting, fishing, rafting, and horse riding.
Mr. Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; son, Steve; daughter, Cathy; and grandson, Lattie Jr.
Survivors include daughters, Terry Wood, Mitizi Thomasson, LuAnn Shubert, Starla Coning, Chiara Baxter, Lourie Rose, and Patty Walter; sons, Eddy Howard and Brian Howard; 27 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at Juniper Haven Cemetery, on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at 2 p.m., followed by a reception at the Eagles Club, 235 N.E. Fourth St., in Prineville.
