cent "Vince" J. Jollo, a Powell Butte, Ore., resident, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at his home. He was 82 years old.
Rosary will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 7 p.m. at Prineville Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Prineville, Ore. Reception will follow at the Parish.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. April 3, 2008 at Powell Butte Cemetery. Father Robert Greiner will officiate. Vince was born in Tono, Wash., on October 17, 1925 to James Vincent and Mary Catherine (Hadaller) Jollo. He joined the Navy Air Corps in 1942 and was honorably discharged at the end of World War II.
He married Joyce Grace Munig in Fargo, North Dakota, on April 18, 1949. He received a bachelor's degree at North Dakota State in 1950.
Vince was a bank manager in Warden, Wash., for 30 years at U.S Bank which was formally Peoples Bank. He retired at 65 years old, and moved to Powell Butte in 1994.
He was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Vince enjoyed wood working, cross word puzzles, reading and gardening. Vince is survived by: his wife Joyce of Powell Butte; sons Dr. Ronald and his wife Seana Jollo of Bend, Ore.; daughter Barbara Anderson of Richland, Wash. Other survivors are as follows: four brothers Ralph of Gresham, Ore., Don of Ellensburg, Wash., Jerry of Roseburg, Ore., and Jim of Maricopa, Ariz.; three sisters Mary Pieper of Dallas, Ore., Rita Day of Yakima, Wash., and Alice Henderson of Ellensburg, Wash., four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Dan. Arrangements are in the care of the Prineville Funeral Home.
