Cowboys fifth at The Dalles

York leads team with a 92 on Friday
The Crook County boys golf team finished in eighth place at the 10-team Pendleton Invitational on Friday, April 18, then finished fifth place at the six-team The Dalles/Wahtonka Invitational on Monday at The Dalles Country Club.
   On Friday Walla Walla won the tournament shooting a 309, while Pendleton was second with a 311. The Cowboys shot a 372.
   Matt York was low scorer for Crook County while both Jake Shinkle and Jared George shot 93's and Daniel Teater had a 94.
   Low round for the day was a 74, shot by Jeff Neher of Walla Walla.
   On Monday Summit won The Dalles Invitational Tournament shooting a 320 while Pendleton and Host The Dalles/Wahtonka finished tied for second with 330's. Hermiston was fourth, shooting 343, while the Cowboys shot a 371. Madras rounded out the field finishing with a 386.
   Damian Telles of the Dalles/Wahtonka led all individuals in the tournament, shooting a par round of 72.
   Individual results for Crook County from The Dalles Invitational were not available at press time.
