ster Lee Hibbitts, a Prineville resident, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2007. He was 60 years old.
Visitation was held Friday, March 16, 2007 at Prineville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2007, at Prineville Funeral Home.
Graveside will follow at Juniper Haven Cemetery.
Chester was born in Oneida, Kentucky on March 30, 1946 to Luther Emery and Sophia (Morris) Hibbitts.
Chester moved to Prineville in 1959 from Colorado, and continued his education from Crook County Schools; he was a member of the class of 1964.
He worked for many years in agriculture working for Jim Puckett, doing contract haying.
He owned and operated a hay farm in Burns for many years. He married Tina Marie Hadison in Prineville, Ore., on January 10, 1998.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and camping. Chester played the guitar, and enjoyed music, especially Johnny Cash.
He loved his children and grandchildren, and his dog Candy Sue.
Chester is survived by: his wife Tina; his daughters LeAnn and her husband David Byram; step daughter Jacque and her husband Robert Phillips; and step-son Michael and his wife Amanda Fager all of Prineville; brothers Lester, Eddie and Donnie Hibbitts of Prineville, Everett Hibbitts of Boardman, Ore., Lonnie and his wife Pam Hibbitts of Vale, sisters; Ruby and her husband Jim Hansen, Carolyn Reeves and her partner Rick Dunn all of Prineville, and Penny and her husband Don Dennis of Bend, Oregon and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
