hard Alan Barnes, a Prineville resident, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2007.
He was 53 years old.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Prineville Funeral Home. Pastor Dale Pannier will officiate.
Richard was born in Eugene, Ore., on February 2, 1954 to Clifton Opal and Nola Mae (Wood) Barnes. He was raised in Junction City until he was 12 years old. He then moved to Prineville with his family. He was a member of the Crook County High School class of 1972.
Richard then moved to Eugene for about two years, and then back to Prineville in 1974. He married Chrystal Elain Fellows in Prineville, Ore., on January 1, 1976.
Richard worked for Deschutes Ready Mix driving truck, then went to work for his son Khrys as a driver for "From Start to Finish Construction & Clean Up".
He enjoyed drag racing, leather tooling, and drove a Plymouth roadrunner at the Madras Drags. He loved his grandchildren. His family remembers him as a true inspiration to everyone who knew him.
Richard is survived by: his wife Chrystal of Prineville; sons Khrys and his wife Timmie Barnes and Kyle Barnes, both of Prineville; daughter Korrin and her husband Daren Van Dewalker of Salem, Ore.; sisters Connie Martin of Noti, Ore., and Barbara Darrow of Ontario, Ore.; and five grandchildren, Keigean, Emmah, Lyllian, Ayiden Barnes and Maddysen Van Dewalker.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Arrangements are in the care of the Prineville Funeral Home.
