A public service will be held on March 28 at 1 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, located at First and Holly in Prineville.
Stowe was born on Oct. 1, 1920, in The Dalles, Ore., to Floyd and Elsie (Gervais) Stowe. He was a warrant officer in the U.S. Army and a graduate of Oregon State College.
He married Lula (Walters) Stowe on May 9, 1945, in Bend.
Mr. Stowe worked for Tumalo Lumber in the early years, and later drove a mail truck for the U.S. Postal Service. He also drove for Wally Smith Trucking and his CB handle was "Zip Code."
Mr. Stowe was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and the VFW Post 1412 in Prineville. He enjoyed playing cribbage, going back and forth to Arizona and camping with his grandchildren.
Survivors include: his wife Lula Stowe of Prineville; son Ronald Stowe of Fruitland, Idaho; daughter Dolores Zimmerlee of Powell Butte, Ore., and brother Victor Stowe of Bend; six grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Nazarene at First and Holly in Prineville.
