Roy Emerson Mohler
He was born Jan. 19, 1913 in Chase Co., Neb., to Harry and Mayme (Keller) Mohler. He graduated from high school in Octavia, Neb., in 1931. He served in the US Army from 1942-45.
He married Helen Barnes in 1964 in Salem. He worked for Hudspeth Mill and Consolidated Pine until he retired.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, watching sports on television, and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife Helen Mohler; daughter, Patty McGuire; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Nancy Grover, Jerry and Pam Grover; grandchildren, Julie and Jim Reed, Jeri and Zach Garner, Jeremy Grover, Danette and Keith Thurman, Michael Grover and Susan and Pa Mannah; great-grandchildren, Bryce and Brittnee Garner, Arika Ovens and Hayden Grover; brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Edna Mohler, Marvin and Pat Mohler; sisters, Berth Taliaferro, Alice Thompson and Donna Graham; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five siblings.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Ochoco Care Center, 950 NE Elm St. in Prineville.
Visitation will be held Wed., Jan. 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Prineville Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Thurs., Jan 10 at 2 p.m. at Juniper Haven Cemetery.
