Conservation poster winners

Crook County Soil and Water Conservation District's annual poster contest for fifth graders drew quite a bit of attention from students this year, gaining more than 20 entries.
Although the resulting submissions were all well executed, the three finalists were selected by district staff earlier this week.
The results were Ariel Marchall from Ochoco Elementary School with a poster called `Do Not Pollute the Water' in 3rd place; Jacob Spurgeon from Crook County Christian School with the poster `Every Living Thing Needs Water' in 2nd place and also from Crook County Christian School, Chase Clark garnered first place with `Conserve Water, or we may not have enough'. Prizes ranged from $20 to $50 which left satisfied smiles on the faces of the winners.
