pets and Christmas just go together for Fluff & Stuff, and Felt & Foam.
The two puppet teams are part of the Calvary Baptist Church, and they will once again put on their annual puppet Christmas program.
The puppet teams are made up of puppeteers of all ages, each bringing their special bit of creativity to the team.
As is seemingly traditional in all Christmas pageantry, there is never a program without a falling star prop or a disheveled shepherd, and it quite possible viewers will leave with a new vision of an `evergreen'.
While this is Christmas on the lighter side, the team continues to endeavor to honor the birth of Christ by offering this program for children of all ages to the community. It is rumored that the Grinch will make an entrance this year to hear the Christmas story.
When the initial team was formed more than ten years ago, it was to offer kids the opportunity to use their musical and theatrical talents in a special way. By now the team has seen several of the first members move on to adult life, and new talent has sprung up.
It has always been the goal of the group to offer a free performance at Christmas for children from 1 to 100 that will lift the spirits and highlight the joy of a child's perspective during the holiday season.
The program will last about 50 minutes on Fri., Dec. 14 and Sat., Dec. 15 nights starting at 7 p.m. There is no admission charge and refreshments will be served afterwards.
