Cemetery Commission rules out ballons and flags<BR>

   Colorful displays incorporating ballons, flags and plastic flowers such as illustrated in the photo, are no longer allowed in Prineville's cemeterys. The Crook County Cemetery Commission has begun enforcement of rules on what is acceptable and what isn't in the county's five cemeterys. As of March 20, all flowers left at grave sites must be placed in metal vases which have been installed in the cement of the headstones. Metal, glass, ceramic, wood or rock items will not be allowed on grave sites. The new enforcement will be in effect until after the summer mowing seas
