He was born Aug. 19, 1910 in Pennsylvania. He lived in Nevada and California before moving to Ashland in 1979. From Ashland he moved to Prineville where he lived for 10 years prior to moving to Redmond.
He worked as a journeyman floor coverer. He loved the theater and enjoyed directing children's theaters in California and Oregon.
He also enjoyed reading, jogging and spending time with friends and family. He was a member of the Forest Avenue Baptist Church and the Oregon State Grange, Redmond Grange 812.
Survivors include his daughter, Belinda Parcell of Redmond; four grandchildren and many friends.
Memorial services were held on March 20 in Redmond. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Forest Avenue Baptist church building fund; P.O. Box 297, Redmond, Ore. 97756.
