Signal lights before higher sewer rates

To the editor: I thoroughly agree with Mr. Arnold Campbell’s editorial concerning the sewer rates for single homeowners. I’ve tried for about three years to get the attention of the city council on this subject, and have been thoroughly ignored. I think we’ve paid our dues and cannot afford these higher rates they are proposing. I think the council should work on citizens’ problems rather than move bridges instead of installing traffic signals at 3rd Street and Combs Flat Road. Are they waiting for a fatality? Our rates should be rated by the amount of water used instead of a flat rate for everyone. Frances Yancey Prineville
