Build a bigger store and they will come ...<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

To look at the lines waiting for the opening of Prineville's new Bi-Mart store Wednesday morning, one would wonder if everyone in town reported to work late. Before the 9 a.m. opening time, the line of customers snaked out and around the corner and almost to the horizon. Once the doors were unlocked, it only took minutes before every aisle was a traffic jam of shoppers and shopping carts. With this kind of response, it is obvious that local shoppers have been deprived of satisfying their needs of department store buying.
