mer Prineville resident Henry "Hank" Bruffett of Boardman died at The Dalles Mid Columbia Medical Center on Wed., March 7, 2001. He was 65 years old.
He was born Oct. 15, 1935 in Ava, Missouri to Vernie Leonard and Ida May (Roberts) Bruffett. He lived in Ava until moving to Milan, Illinois at 13.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1955. He married Charlotte A. Mitchell in 1960 in Bingen, Washington where they lived prior to moving to central Oregon where they resided for 35 years. They retired to Boardman in 1997.
The couple raised and raced horses for many years. He worked for the Terrebonne water department for ten years and as assistant manager for Crook County Fairgrounds in Prineville for seven years.
His hobbies included fishing, camping, boating and visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte of Boardman; brothers, Leonard of Kansas City, Kan., Earl of Prineville and Bearl of Rock Island, Ill.; sisters, Pearl Casey and Jerlyn Selley of Prineville and Erma Madden of Kansas City, Kan.; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.
Memorial services were held on Monday in The Dalles. Memorial donations may be made to the Oregon Heart Assoc., 1425 N.E. Irving, #100, Portland, Ore. 97232-4201.
