mer Prineville resident, Ada Josephine (Miles) Crossett died March 9, 2001 in Portland. She was 88 years old.
She was born Feb. 22, 1913 in Milford, Neb. She graduated from high school in Winner, South Dakota.
Mrs. Crossett was employed by the Federal Envelope Company in Los Angeles and the Mailwell Envelope Company in Portland. She worked for both companies a total of 20 years. She lived in Prineville from 1976 to 1986.
She was affiliated with the Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and crafts.
Survivors include her daughter Marg DeWeese; son, Mathew Crossett; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Services are scheduled for Thursday, March 15, at 11 a.m. at Portland Memorial Sunrise-Sunset Chapel.
