NJROTC drill team wins at San Diego, invited to Florida<BR>
Twenty-four members of the Crook County NJROTC Drill Team recently competed in the District 11 Naval Meet held in San Diego and came away with first place. Later this month, the drill team will perform at the Northwest Regional Championship to be held at the Roseburg High School. These Crook County High School students have won high honors and standing ovations where ever they appear. In addition to bringing home the top trophy with their performance at San Diego, the drill team also received an invitation to compete at the Naval National Meet in Pensacola Florida to be held in April. Qualifying and being invited to take their armed drill performances to the national meet is only part of the requirements; the team also needs to raise $20,000 to meet travel needs. Anyone wishing to help can make their check payable to CCHS NJROTC and deliver it to the high school or mail it to NJROTC, 1100 SE Lynn Blvd, Prineville, 97754, attn: Master Chief Jackson.
