The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) 55 Alive/Driver Safety Course will be offered Tuesday, April 10, and Wednesday, April 11, at the Prineville Senior Center.
The eight hour course will be given in two 4-hour sessions and begins at 1:30 p.m.
This course is designed to meet the specific needs of older drivers and covers age-related physical changes, declining perceptual skills, rules of the road, and local driving problems.
Oregon State Law 742.490 requires that all automobile insurance carriers give a discount on premiums to graduates of the AARP 55 Alive/Driver Safety Course.
Those interested must complete the preregistration application form, available at the Senior Center. There is a course fee of $10, payable to AARP. As space is limited, the class will be open to the first 24 people whose applications and checks have been received.
