Brothers school is raising funds to take everyone to Washington D.C.

All of central Oregon is invited to take part in the by-phone auction for two getaway packages
Brothers School, located 45 miles east of Bend on Hwy 20, is inviting all of central Oregon to participate in a phone auction to help them raise $4,000 for a trip to Washington D.C.
The school holds classes for students from kindergarten to eighth grade, and has a student body of 17 this year.
One of their study focuses has been the U.S. Government and what better way to learn about government, politics, and the history of this country then to take a trip to our nation's capitol. So far, this group of ambitious students and staff have raised about $2,000 _ not quite enough to take everyone to D.C.
To help make this trip possible McCormack's Recreational Ranch and Battle Creek Outfitters have teamed up to offer two weekend or weekday getaway packages. These packages will be offered for bid by phone until 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 15.
The first package is fishing for two people at the Bear Creek Reservoir for two days and two nights. The winners have the option of bringing their own camping equipment or staying in the cabin at the reservoir. This package is valued at $300.
The second package is a sage rat hunting expedition for two people on the McCormack Ranch for two days and one night with camping on the ranch. This package is also valued at $300.
The getaway packages will be awarded on April 16 by phone. To make a bid call 541-576-2158, leave a message complete with name, phone number, package choice and bid amount.
