> Good music and good food go together ... and Thursday evening all that will happen in the foyer of the county fairgrounds Indoor Arena.
This event will be the second (all you can eat) dinner sponsored by the Crook County Fairgrounds board of directors. The idea behind the family dining event is to bring people to the fairgrounds who typically only show up twice a year ... at the fair or the Crooked River Roundup.
The recently remodeled foyer is being decorated with professional-quality photos of some of the historic and remarkable barns in Crook County. The photos are part of a program designed to protect and portray the history of agriculture in the county.
The first Family Fun Night was held in late February. The turnout was good enough to make the board decide to hold another. With the Indoor Arena so busy, and getting busier as the summer season gets closer, this Thursday evening was about the only opportunity to schedule another fun evening.
Members of the Crook County High School NJROTC drill team performed at the February event, this time the entertainment will be music. Local vocalist and entertainer Bobby Smith is slated to perform along with another, unidentified, musician.
The Family Fun Night kicks off at 6 p.m. and the whole family is invited ... just show up at the Indoor Arena - no reservations are necessary.
