Tickets for three hand-made quilts go on sale this week in anticipation of the May Country Quilt Show

The colorful quilts are made for the benefit quilt show happening in May and tickets will be available around town
Organizers for the Prineville Country Quilt Show are gearing up for the upcoming May event by offering local residents a chance to win three handmade quilts made by central Oregon quilters.
   The colorful offerings include a bed size quilt appropriately named Galaxy of Stars; a large wall hanging by Wendy Klepping featuring a big bold star shape design; and Mary's Memories which is a multi-colored patchwork quilt.
   Raffle tickets are priced at one dollar each or six for $5 and can be obtained by calling Joanne Craun at 447-5650, or by visiting her at the Les Schwab Main Office. Tickets are also available at Prairie Girls Quilt Shop, 970 NW Third St and the Chamber of Commerce, 390 NE Fairview.
   The Prineville Country Quilt Show and Mother's Day gift sale is scheduled to take place this year at the Crook Country High School, commons area on May 5 and 6.
   Special entertainment will be provided by Sally Burger and Molly Sweet on the harp and flute.
   Admission is $1 and children under six are free. Refreshments will be available along with a great selection of Mother's Day gift ideas. Proceeds benefit the Pregnancy Resource Center.
   The raffle winners will be announced at the quilt show.
