Naomi Ruth Holley
She was born Sept. 23, 1921 to Milton and Hazel (Adell) Carpenter in Lancing, Mich. As a child she moved with her minister father quite often and enjoyed helping him with his ministry. She married Cloyd Holley in New Mexico in 1945. She eventually settled in Klamath Falls in 1978 and moved to Prineville about 10 years later. She moved back to Prineville after living in Hermiston to be near family.
She was a Kettle Volunteer at the Salvation Army and she enjoyed selling poppies for the American Legion. She also enjoyed listening to music and spending time with family.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Salvation Army.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Parton and Hazel Moyes of Prineville; sons, Paul and Phillip Holley of Pendleton; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four sisters.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Ochoco Care Center.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wed., April 18, at the Assembly of God Church. Reverend James Billings will officiate.
