   May 9

   The Central Oregon Parkinson's Support Group will meet at 2 p.m. at the Home Health Conference Room at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend. For more information call 548-3941.

   The Victim Impact Panel will convene at the Crook County Library community room at 7 p.m. The panel is open to everyone and parents of young drivers are particularly encouraged to attend. For more information call 416-8047.

   Parents of the graduating class of 2001 will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the high school library to finalize plans for the all-night graduation party. At least 50 parents are needed to help with the party and to decorate the night before. All parents are encouraged to attend this meeting and sign up for a task.

   Getting Started, an informational meeting designed for people new to the programs and services of the Alzheimer's Association will be offered by the central Oregon area office, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Bend Library. All interested persons may attend. Call 541-7074 for more information.

   The Crooked River Elementary school will host a carnival from 6 to 8 p.m. The event features games, booths and fun. A silent auction will feature a variety of gift baskets for bid centered on themes including gardening, camping, candles, backyard barbecuing and more. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

   The Sisters Art Stroll will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. at downtown Sisters businesses. Downtown businesses will host open houses, offer refreshments, music, art and entertainment. Walking maps available at any Sisters business.

   Saturday
   May 12

   The annual Prineville community cleanup will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers meet behind Chamber Building for assignments. Call 447-3103, 447-6926 or 447-6304 for more information or to register a team.

   The High Desert Trails and Poker Ride will take place at Dry Canyon, on Hwy 126 between Redmond and Sisters. Entries open at 9 a.m., first rider out at 10 a.m. and last out at 11:30 a.m. Over $100 in prizes will be awarded. Cost is $12 to enter, $7 Poker Rider and a $1 one-day club membership for non-members. Call 548-8388 for more information.

   Volunteers are needed for the Smith Rock Spring Thing cleanup and the public is invited to the dinner, auction and raffle. The cleanup runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., dinner will be held at the last house at the end of the road in the park, across from the turnaround. It starts at 6 p.m., and the auction at 7 p.m.

   Lookout Mt. Grange will hold its regular meeting at 10 a.m. following a potluck lunch at noon. Bring items for the food bank. All Grange members are welcome.

   Oregon State University will hold Mandatory 4-H/FFA Market Lamb, Hog and Goat Weigh-in from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Crook County Fairgrounds. For more information call OSU Extension at 447-6228.
