Thanks for justice and compassion
To the editor: With eternal gratitude I wish to thank and acknowledge those people who were instrumental and responsible in ultimately obtaining a fair judgment against Chester L. Alger who molested my two young children — your vigilance and hard work was outstanding above and beyond. If there were a “medal of honor” it would surely go to these folks: Gary Williams, District Attorney; Frank Avey, Sergeant; Andrea Vaughn, Detective.; Sarah Lee, Victim Assistance Program Director; Tammie Hulett, Victim Advocate; Travis Ash, Prineville Police Officer; Ron Brown, Chief Deputy District Attorney; Aaron Brenneman, Deputy District Attorney; Don Sellars, Counselor. Also a special thanks to all my family and friends who are standing by with an abundance of love, care, concern and helpfulness through this most dreadful time in our lives. Your loyalty will not be forgotten. God’s love and blessings be upon you all. Because of all of you we are evolving from victims to survivors! The victim’s mother Prineville editor’s note: Except in rare cases, it is the policy of the Central Oregonian not to print letters without identifying the letter writer. This is one of those rare occurrences.
