Lillian Lena Rasmussen
She was born March 27, 1922 to Guy and Rhoda (Hager) Harding in Wytheville, Virginia. The family moved when she was 4 years old to Williams, Minnesota, where she graduated from high school. She attended COCC in Bend where she received her nursing degree.
She married Albert Rasmussen in Minnesota in 1936. She worked in the nursing field until she retired.
Her hobbies included playing cards, reading, collecting unclaimed treasures, spending time with family, driving and spending time in the country and deer hunting.
Survivors include her children Albert Rasmussen, Jr. of Richland, Ruth Neal of Redmond, Dennis Rasmussen of Bend, David Rasmussen of Prineville, Judith Hillard of LaPine Beverly Moore of Aurora, Pamela K. Schwerbel of Prineville, Wesley Rasmussen of Prineville, Lesley Rasmussen of Prineville, Teresa Mayhugh of Kennewick, Wash.; 40 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sons and one daughter.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Veteran's Club, Eagle's Club 2555, American Legion and Auxiliary Post 29 or Sons of the American Legion Squadron 29.
Viewing is scheduled for today at Whispering Pines Funeral home until 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 27 at 1 p.m. at Whispering Pines Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Willard Fenderson will officiate.
