Lee Jones passed away Sunday, April 22, 2001 at Meadow Park Specialty Care Center in St. Helens, Oregon. Iva Lee was born August 16, 1918 in Fraser, Colorado, to Ezra C. and Mary Ann Vollrath Blaylock.
When she was a young girl, the family moved to John Day, where she attended school and graduated with the class of 1936.
She married Clarence H. Jones in Weiser, Idaho, in 1938. The couple resided in Mitchell thereafter until 1979 when they sold their business, a service station and automotive repair shop and moved to Redmond, spending the winter months in Arizona.
After Mr. Jones' death in 1985, Mrs. Jones moved to St. Helens to be near family.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Clarence and Lori Hoalst Jones of Meridian, Idaho; grandchildren, Ron D. Harnden and his wife, Jodie and their children Marlia and Leanne of Athena, Oregon; Joline Marie Jones Walgamott and her husband Rodney and their children Robert, Anna, and Chas of Salt Lake City, Utah; Janet Lee Jones Gull and her husband Rod and their children Brittney and Brooke of Clovis, California; and Robert G. (Bob) Jones of Boise, Idaho; sister, Lola M. Janney of John Day and niece Dona Lambert of Oregon City and nephew Gerald Janney of Dayville.
Her husband and her parents, long-time residents of Mitchell preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Patient Travel Fund at El Korah Shrine Temple, 1118 W. Idaho Street, Boise, Idaho 83702 or to Doernbecher Children's Hospital, 3181 SW Sam Jackson Park Rd., Portland, Oregon 97201.
A celebration of life will be held August 18 in Central Oregon. Cremation is being handled by Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens.
