   Parents of the graduating class of 2001 will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the high school library to finalize plans for the all-night graduation party. At least 50 parents are needed to help with the party and to decorate the night before. All parents are encouraged to attend this meeting and sign up for a task.

   NO SCHOOL today and June 1 _ Parks and Rec will entertain kids with a trip to the High Desert Museum. Sign up with the school coordinator or call Karen Bee at Parks and Rec, 447-1209.

   June 1

   The sixth annual High Desert Western Arts Gathering will take place at the Deschutes County Exposition Center from June 1-3. For ticket information call 317-3747. This event is to celebrate and preserve the history, traditions, arts, crafts, skills and customs of the American Cowboy and Ranch Culture.

   June 2

   The Fossil School District is hosting a Celebration of Fossil Schools from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Fossil Elementary School. The event celebrates 100 years of high school work, 75 years at the Fossil Elementary School building and 50 years in the Wheeler (County) High School Building. All past and present students of these schools are invited.

   The Crook County Christian School will hold its 3rd annual yard sale beginning at 8 a.m. The sale will be held at 835 S. Main Street. Donations can be made by calling Brenda Hanson at 447-5412, Tina Wendel at 447-3959 or contact the school office at 416-0114.

   The Dog Fun Match will be held at the Fire Fighter Memorial at Ochoco Creek Park. Registration starts at 9 a.m. Call Cindy York for more information at 447-4672.

   Gospel Music Concert featuring RW Hampton and friends, 10:30 a.m. at the High Desert Western Arts Gathering, Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center. Information: 541-317-3747

   The Oregon Old Time Fiddlers Show will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall, Sisters Ave. in Redmond. All ages are welcome. For information call Bob Ervin, 447-5451

   June 5

   A meeting of the AARP will be held at 12:45 p.m. at the Senior Center. Fred Martin and Carter Fall will speak on the subject of Search and Rescue.

   The Sage Hens and Grousers Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. at the library. The program will be Owls and Bats, Creatures of the Night Sky presented by Patty VanVlack. Anyone interested is invited to attend. For more information call 447-5547 or 447-5843.

   The American Cancer Society Relay for Life will be held at the Ward Rhoden Stadium in Prineville to benefit the American Cancer Society. Opening Ceremonies begin at 10 a.m. Registration forms and more information is available by calling Kim Burge at 416-9118.
