Opal Marie Taylor

Former Prineville resident Opal Marie Taylor of John Day died May 28, 2001. She was 77 years old.
   She was born April 19, 1924 in Stevenson, Wash. to Albert and Olive (Reif) Croy. She attend school in Oregon through her sophomore year. She worked in food service most of her life as manager and bookkeeper retiring in 2000.
   She married Herb Taylor in Prineville in 1941.
   She was a member of the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship.
   She enjoyed spending time with family.
   Survivors include her husband Herb Taylor of John Day; son, Terry Taylor of John Day; daughter, Donnie Puckett of Prineville; sister, Zaretta Leishman of Springfield; brothers, Darrell Jolly of S.C., Delano Jolly of Arkansas, Bill Jolly of Henderson, Nev., Olin Jolly of S. C., Gary Croy of California; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
   Memorial services were held June 1 in John Day with graveside services following on June 2 at Juniper Haven Cemetery.
   Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
   Driskill Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
