   Crook County Library's Reading Program hosts Wildflower Stories and Flower Science Fun Activities, a presentation by Jim and Patty Vanvlack. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. For more information call the library at 447-7978.
   The Crook County School District is hosting a recognition in honor of students who have accomplished a Service Learning Project. The event will be held at the high school in the auditorium beginning at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

   The Historical Society and Crook County have teamed up to give Courthouse tours this summer. The tours will be offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays throughout the summer. Tours start at noon at the bottom of the courthouse steps.

   The Employees of Community First Bank will sponsor a fundraiser at the bank to benefit Sally Wilhelm. A hotdog stand and car wash are scheduled for the day. Raffle tickets will also be sold for prizes including 18 holes of golf at Prineville Golf and Country Club; $100 shopping spree at Thriftway; and one night at Stafford Inn with dinner for two at the Club Pioneer.    Girls who will be in the first grade during the upcoming school year are eligible to sign up for Zink the Zebra, a fun day of games, learning and making friends hosted by the Central Oregon Girl Scouts. The event will take place at the Crook County Library from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $14. To register call 389-8146.

   The High Desert Saddle Club will hold their annual Father's Day Ochoco Poker Ride with the first rider out at 10 a.m. and the last rider out at 11:30 a.m Enjoy barbecue hamburgers following the ride. The ride will take place in the Ochoco mountains 29 miles east of Prineville on Hwy 26; turn right at milepost 48 at Marks Creek Sno Park; two miles to meadow on right.    The Crook County Airport Board of Commissioners will meet at the airport at 7 p.m. for an Executive Session ORS192.660(1)(E) to negotiate real property. A regular meeting will follow at 7:30 p.m. to discuss runway overlay and the installation of a new beacon.

   A H.E.L.P. (Health Education for Loving Parents) meeting is scheduled. The topic is Disabled and or chronically ill children, and resources that are available to help them receive the things that they need.
