Summer hours at the Ochoco Ranger Station

Summer's arrival means new office hours for the Ochoco Ranger Station
With summer's arrival, new summer hours are scheduled for the Ochoco Ranger Station on the Big Summit Ranger District. Monday through Friday, the district office will be open from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closed on Sundays.
These summer hours are in effect through deer season (October 10, 2001). Ochoco Ranger Station is located approximately 25 miles east of Prineville.
In mid-July, the majority of Big Summit Ranger District employees will move from the Ochoco Ranger Station offices to their new offices in Prineville as they combine with the Prineville District to become the Lookout Mountain Ranger District. During the move (Friday, July 13 and Monday, July 16), forest headquarters visitors will be able to purchase maps, wood permits and receive general forest information at the Prineville District of the Bureau of Land Management office located at the east end of Prineville, next to the forest headquarters office.
Forest Service office hours in Prineville will remain the same for the summer: Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and closed on Saturdays and Sundays. For more information, contact the Ochoco National Forest at 416-6500.
