Vesta Mae Moore

Former Prineville resident Vesta Mae Moore of Bend died Sun., July 1, 2001. She was 91 years old.
   She was born Feb. 28, 1910 in Sink to George and Nellie (Beard) Partin. She was raised in the Cloverdale area and attended schools in Redmond. She married Ray Moore in Prineville in 1927. Mr. Moore managed the Houk Ford Motor company and the couple purchased Pine grocery in 1947, selling the store in 1967.
   Her hobbies included playing cards, bingo, fishing, hunting, spending time with family and at the Prineville Senior Center.
   Survivors include her son Richard Moore of Prineville; daughter Donna Moore of Redmond; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers.
   Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Central Oregon Opportunity Center in Redmond or the Hospice of Bend.
   Visitation will be held Fri., July 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Prineville Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Sat., July 7 at 10 a.m. at the Juniper Haven Cemetery. Father Jim Logan will officiate.
   Prineville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
