A former school counselor and his wife, in town for a visit, took time to relax at the courthouse last weekend. Ed and Zola Belle Roley took a few minutes to sit on a bench in front of the courthouse fountain before starting the drive back home on the Oregon coast. Ed, working on a carving, took time to explain that he had been the school councilor at Crooked River Elementary School for many years, as well as the Powell Butte School and Paulina School "occasionally." The Roley's both have fond memories of life in central Oregon, and wanted to sit in the shade on a sunny afternoon and remember.
