h Neil McKinney of Prineville died Fri., July 6, 2001 at Pioneer Memorial Hospital. He was 87 years old.
He was born Dec. 15, 1913 in Amity to Cornealis and Nellie McKinney. He grew and and attended school in Washington, Oregon and California. As a teenager he worked in the lumber industry and later as a log truck driver and in the saw-mills in Oregon.
He retired from export lumber as a gradesman. He moved to Prineville in 1996.
His hobbies included fishing.
He is survived by his son Gary McKinney of Prineville; daughters Mary Waldo of Idaho and Penny Lewman of Grants Pass; sister Viola Wing of Winston; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, daughter and parents.
At Mr. McKinney's request no public services will be held. Cremation will take place at the Prineville Heritage Crematry under the direction of the Prineville Funeral Home. Inurnment will be held at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens in Grants Pass.
