   July 12
   The Crook County Library Summer Reading Program for children features Horses! with Jill Bonanno, Peggy Schmidt and Myrra Shivers. Craft Project: Bucking bronco and other horse activities. Program starts at 1 p.m. Call 447-7978 for more information.
   July 13
   Boy Scout Troop 63 will hold a fundraiser to raise money for their Summer Adventures Trip to the Rogue River. They are collecting items for a garage sale which will be held at 194 NE Owens Road beginning at 7 a.m. today and Saturday. Donations can be dropped off at the Jiffy Lube in Prineville. Pickup can be arranged by calling 416-1985.
   July 14
   Prineville's Summer Harvest Faire will take place at Pioneer Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 416-0945 or 480-7139 for more information.
   July 15
   The Flower Power Team will hold a bottle drive from noon to 2 p.m. Proceeds go towards the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Donations can be dropped off at 525 NW Locust, on the corner of 6th and Locust. Call 447-7353 to make arrangements for pickup.
   July 16
   The Prineville Airport board of commissioners will meet at the airport at 7 p.m. for a regular meeting. This meeting is open to the public.
   July 17
   'Come Fly With Me' is the theme for a luncheon at the Prineville Golf and Country Club beginning at noon. All ladies of the area are invited. Kevin Lair of Wild Birds Unlimited will present a demonstration on feeding and identifying backyard birds. Marilyn Barba of Florence is the motivational speaker. For reservations call Gen at 447-7682. Cost is $8.75 inclusive. Sponsored by the Prineville Christian Women's Club.
   July 18
   A barbeque to benefit the Greg Merritt Memorial Scholarship fund will be held at 6 p.m. under the white tent at the fairgrounds. The fund was established to assist CCHS graduating seniors with college expenses. The public is invited to attend.
   July 21

   The OSU Extension Service in conjunction with the Central Oregon Chapter of Master Gardener Association is hosting a tour of gardens in Deschutes County from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $7 per person and tickets are available in advance or on the day of the event.    July 28
   The American Cancer Society Relay for Life will be held at the Ward Rhoden Stadium in Prineville to benefit the American Cancer Society. Opening Ceremonies begin at 10 a.m. Registration forms and more information are available by calling Kim Burge at 416-9118.
