es Albert Young, a lifelong resident of Prineville died at his home on Wed., July 18. He was 64 years old.
He was born March 4, 1937 to Earl and Irene (Bryant) Young in Prineville.
He attended Crook County schools and worked in the logging industry and on local farms after school. He married Pat in 1962 in Winnemucca, Nevada. He worked for Ochoco Feed and Farm Supply and later at Miller Lumber in Prineville where he retired from in 2001.
His interests included fishing, hunting, arrowhead hunting, gardening, listening to country music, gun collecting and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Pat of Prineville; daughters and sons-in-law Pamela Annette and Edward Smith of Bend, Michelle Marie and Gary Kennedy of Elkton, Ore., Heidi Lea and Kelly Balck of Redmond; son and daughter-in-law Kenneth James and Mary Young of Prineville, brother, Thomas Young of Prineville; sisters, Ruth Johnson, Wilda Dorman, Wilma Warren, Clara Green and Juanita McDonald all of Prineville; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings and one grandson.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Pioneer Memorial Hospice.
Private cremation will be held and memorial services are scheduled for Fri., July 27 at the Veteran's Club, 405 N. Main Street beginning at 1 p.m.
