Jane Dahl Rine
She was born July 31, 1900 in Avoca, Minnesota, one of three children to Frederick Dahl and Lillie Anderson.
She married Russell Rine in Illinois and he preceded her in death in 1968. She was a homemaker most of her life.
She was an avid traveler and moved to Oregon in the 1970's settling in the Salem area where she met her lifetime companion, Steve Deak. Together they moved to Prineville in the early 90's to be near family.
Mrs. Rine enjoyed traveling and made many trips to far away places including Norway. She had the unique experience of witnessing `new inventions' such as airplanes.
She also enjoyed spending time at the Prineville Senior Center, and visiting with friends. She was a member of the Prineville Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors of her extended family include the Richard and Julie Smith family and the Mike and Corinne O'Leary family, both of Prineville, and the Louis Deak family of Oklahoma. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Soroptimists Senior Center in Prineville.
Memorial services will be held Sat., July 21 beginning at 1 p.m. at the Ochoco Manor at 601 N. Deer in Prineville.
She will be buried in Taylorsville, Ill.
