Credit should go to ad hoc committee

To the editor: On Thursday, August 30, the Central Oregonian, headline read, “Ochoco Nat’l Forest HQ Will Stay in Prineville.” The entire community is delighted with this decision. However, a large part of the credit must be given to the ad hoc committee chaired by Chamber Manager, Diane Bohle. Members of that group gave countless hours of thorough deliberation and the report by Bohle reflects this effort. The impact of this report bears out the quote by Margaret Mead, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens change the world, indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Sarah Thomas Prineville
