   Cultivating Communities presents a workshop on volunteerism at the Crook County Library, Broughton Room beginning at 6:30 p.m. Community volunteers, board members and staff members who work with volunteers are encouraged to attend.    The Crook County Middle School Concert choir will hold a performance at the high school auditorium starting at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome and there is no charge for admittance.
   Friday
   October 26
   Crook County Library will host a "Break the Rules" teen night at the library from 7 to 9:30 p.m. for youth 6 through 12 grades. Teens can bring CD's to share music, surf the Net and hang out with friends. Call the library at 447-7978 for more information.
   The Sons of the American Legion will host a stew and chili feed from 6 to 8 p.m. followed by Karoake with Denny from 8 p.m. to midnight.
   Saturday
   October 27
   The Sons of the American Legion will host a spaghetti feed brunch starting at noon followed by karaoke with Denny from 2 to 6 p.m.
   The Prineville Elks will host a Halloween Costume Party with prizes awarded for the best costume. The party starts at 8:30 p.m., costume judging starts at 10:30 p.m. and pizza at 11 p.m. Music provided by Biff Harley. All Elk members and guests are welcome.
   Crook County Parks and Recreation will host a special skating party for all ages from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Crooked River Grade School Gym. Cost is $3 per skater. Skaters are encouraged to dress up in costume and fun and games for all is planned. Parents are welcome to accompany children and watch from the bleachers. Call 447-1209 for more information.
   The Eagles will host an October Fest dinner starting at 6 p.m. Cost is $7 for all members and guests. A costume party and dance with Bobby and Lori starts at 8 p.m.

   The 4-H Recognition night potluck dinner will take place at Carey Foster Hall with dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by awards at 6:30 p.m. Those attending with last names starting A-M are to bring a main dish and N-Z bring a salad. Call 447-6228 for more information.
   The Soroptimist International of Prineville will hold a membership reception at the Soroptimist Meeting Room of the Prineville Senior Center beginning at 5:30 p.m. Call 447-1508 for more information.
   Wednesday

   The Crook County Christian School will hold the annual Harvest Party at the Assembly of God Church gymnasium, 855 S. Main Street. Admission is $1.
   The Crook County Health Dept. will offer flu clinics from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for those 65 and older, health care workers, pregnant women, EMS workers or people with chronic diseases. Cost is $10 and Medicare will be billed. Call 447-5165 for more information. Vaccines available as long as supply lasts.
