Events, meetings and gatherings happening in Crook County
Today
   The Eagles Aerie 2555 will have the first reading of the by-laws. Any member interested is welcome to attend the 7:30 p.m. meeting.
   The Crook County Middle School honor society will be holding the annual orange and almond sale starting today through Jan. 4. Ten pounds of oranges are $6 and one pound of barbecued almonds is $4. Orders can be given to any CCMS honor society student or by calling 447-6283.
   The Crook County Garden Club will meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Catholic Church Parish Hall on First Street. The program is wreath making and participants are asked to bring a wreath form, 22 gage wire, greens, 3 yds. of ribbon, and clippers. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
   Crook County Health Department, 203 NE Court St., will hold a flu clinic from 5 to 8 p.m. depending on vaccine availability. Vaccines are available for people 65 and over, those with chronic disease, health care workers, pregnant women, etc. Call for more information at 447-5165.
   Guys and Dolls will be the performance happening at 7:30 p.m. at the high school auditorium featuring the many talented students of the theater department.
   The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 29 will host the District 5 president Louise Carter at 7 p.m. upstairs at the Veterans Club, 405 S. Main. Cake and coffee will be provided.

   Guys and Dolls is the performance happening at 7:30 p.m. at the high school auditorium featuring the many talented students of the theater department.
   The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 29 will host a ham and scalloped potato dinner upstairs at the Vets Club at 5 p.m. Cost is $6 per person for all members and guests.
   Saturday
   November 17
   Crook County Parks and Recreation will host the annual Santa's Workshop for children ages 3-9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Carey Foster Hall. Call Jeannie at 447-1209 or 447-8187 for more information.

   The Prineville Elks Lodge will host a rocky mountain oyster dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost is $8 for members and guests. Music will follow dinner with Spice Guys.
   The Vets Club will host a pot luck lunch and karaoke with Denny from 2 to 6 p.m. for all members and their guests.
   Faith Ministries Centre, Int'l, 365 NE Court will hold a free food give away while supplies last starting at 10 a.m.

   November 19
   The Crook County Airport board of commissioners will meet at the Prineville Airport at 7 p.m. Topics of discussion include possible new business leases. This is an open meeting and the public is welcome to attend.
   The Commission on Children and Families will meet at Crook County Library. The public is invited and welcome to attend. For more information call 447-3260.
