The Crook County Garden Club, with help from friends, decorated the Crook County Courthouse for Christmas season once again. The club's annual decoration project has been going on so long it has become a tradition. This year a number of non-club members had a hand in bringing the season to the historic center of town. The list included Marla and Mark Stafford for providing the juniper, Robert Freeman for the pine cones and the pine tree was donated by Lorna Binder. Peggy and Jack Kerr, Marge Ebbert and her son helped by cutting down the tree and getting it to the courthouse. Members of another garden club, the Sage Hens & Grousers Garden Club also helped out. Elen Kerb, Cynthia Condron and Mollie Gardiner volunteered their time, and Gardiner also brought the green garlands. Assisting in this effort were Greg, Fred and Michael. Each year the Crook County Garden Club foots all the cost for the decoration project. One member of the club explained it is the club's way of extending their Christmas wishes to the community.
