Humane Society gets a lot of help

To the editor: The Humane Society of the Ochocos would like to say “thanks” to everyone who helped out with both time and money after our shelter was broken into and our dogs were let out of their kennels. As of Jan. 6 all of the dogs are accounted for. The shelter would also like to thank all of you who have donated money towards our fence and to ABC Fence for helping us out and getting the fence started so soon. There are many other people who need to be thanked but for fear of missing someone the Humane Society just sends out a big thank you to everyone. The Humane Society of the Ochocos would also like to thank everyone who participated in the food and supply drives for the shelter animals in December. Again I don’t want to miss any names so a big thank you goes to to everyone and to the people who put on each drive. Those are; Gregory’s Floor Covering for hosting our Christmas Wish Tree, Mrs. Dooey’s kindergarten class at Powell Butte School, Crook County Middle School’s leadership class taught by Julie Swinehart, and the Ladies of the Elks. Again thank you to everyone who put food and supply donations under the trees and in the boxes. Talena Smith Shelter Manager
