Visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at Whispering Pines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2004, at Whispering Pines Funeral Home, 185 NE Fourth Street, Prineville. Pastor Dusty Flegel will officiate.
Mary was born on Aug. 18, 1924, to Finnis Ewing and Verda Lee (Page) Hughes in Plainview, Texas.
She attended grade school in Finley, Okla. in a one-room school house, attended high school in Antlers, Okla., and later married Pete Williams on Sept. 15, 1941.
In 1946 she and her family moved to Prineville and have lived here ever since. She worked at the nursing home, Brownfield's Cafe, Tastee Treat, and the Ochoco Inn. Mary was a member of the Lions Club and a past member of the Eagles Club.
Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, hunting, fishing, gardening, quilting, bowling, attending church, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband Pete Williams of Prineville; sons Billy, Eugene, and Jerry Williams of Prineville; daughters Anna Rust of Nyssa, Ore., Glenda Stacy, Judy Webster, and Mary Capeheart of Prineville; brothers Floyd Hughes of Vernon, Texas, and Finnis Hughes Jr. of Amarillo, Texas; and sister Dorothy Rivett of Berryville, Ark.; 22 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Coy Hughes.

Whispering Pines Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be a potluck at the Vets Club following the graveside service.
