Darrell Dean Rook

Darrell Dean Rook, a former Prineville resident, died Oct. 31, 2004 at 57 after fighting a long battle with lung cancer.
   He was born April 5, 1947, in Toledo, Ore. He attended Crook County Middle School and later joined the military after living in Prineville.
   He served in the Marines Corps.
   He was the son of the late James F. Rook and Martha Rook of Commerce, Ga.
   He was one of nine children. Survivors include: five sisters Mildred Ipock of North Powder, Ore., Barbara Pond of Commerce, Ga., Martha Whitaker of Roseburg, Ore., Nettie Stinnett of Salem, Ore., Judy Stinnett of Commerce, Ga.
   He also has three brothers, Jim Rook of Cottage Grove, Ore., Larry Rook of Creswell, Ore., Bobby Rook of Commerce, Ga. and is survived by other numerous close relatives.
   Private graveside services will be held Nov. 20 at noon at Taylor Lanes Cemetery in Cottage Grove.
