Floyd D. Rogers
Floyd D. Rogers was born in Greeley, Kansas, on December 10, 1921. He moved to Harrisonville, Missouri with his family when he was young. He attended school there. He was married to Dixie L. Marsh on October 5, 1940 in Harrisonville, MO.
The couple moved to Portland, Oregon, where Mr. Rogers worked for the Shell Oil Co. Refinery for 35 years. He retired in 1979.
After retirement He and his wife moved to Prineville, Ore., where they lived until 1996 when they returned to the Portland area. Mr. Rogers traveled with his wife to Arizona every winter after his retirement. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Prineville. He is preceded in death by his wife Dixie L. Rogers in April of 2004
He is survived by: daughter, Dianna Holmes of Portland; daughter, Mary Jackson of Sultan, Wash.; son, Lyle Rogers of Sedona, Ariz., and brother, Elmo Rogers of Rosemead, Calif. six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
