ong-time Prineville resident, Marvie (Urban) Norris passed away Dec. 7, 2004, at her home in Merrill, Ore. She was born Aug. 26, 1924, in Huron, S.D.
Marvie and her husband, Lathan, lived in Prineville for 37 years before her move to Merrill in 1994. Both worked at the Central Oregonian for many years, Marvie as a linotype operator, and were in the Prineville American Legion.
Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, crocheting and bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law Ken and Marvie Moyer of Bend; son and daughter-in-law Jim and Sandy Norris of Winlock, Wash.; daughter and son-in-law Peggy and Craig Hays of Klamath Falls, Ore.; son Rodney Norris of Kingsland, Texas, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. No funeral services will be held. Internment will be at the Prineville Memorial Cemetery.
