ma Jean Hicks, 62, of Prineville, passed away peacefully at home on December 25, 2004. Her devoted and loving husband Carl was at her bedside. There are no services planned at this time.
Wilma was born to William and Fay Keaver on January 12, 1942, in Tucson, Ariz. Before she was to enter kindergarten, the family moved to Ontario, Ore. They lived briefly in Ontario before moving to the Rogue Valley and settling in Medford. She attended Medford public schools and graduated from Medford High School, where she played saxophone in the marching band. Not long after graduation, Wilma met and married Carl Hicks Jr. in 1962. They lived in Medford until 1991, when they moved to Prineville where she lived until she passed away. Wilma was a devoted Jehovah)s Witness and the members of her congregation visited her often in her home. She enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing with her family in the wilds of Southern Oregon. Her loving husband and her children will miss her. Survivors include: her husband of 42 years Carl of Prineville; son and daughter-in-law Raymond and Judith Hicks of Dayton, Ohio, son Darryl Hicks of Yreka, Calif., daughter and son-in-law Lori and Wayne Millard of Central Point, Ore., and son and daughter-in-law Steve and Kiya Hicks of Medford, Ore. A brother Richard Keaver of Medford, Ore., a sister Peggy Davis of Medford, and six grandchildren also survive her.
