Leona Brown

Leona "Jeanie" Brown passed away at Pioneer Memorial Hospital on Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, of lung cancer. She was 52 years old. Private services will be held.
   Jeanie was born on Oct. 1, 1952 to Arlie and Sylvia (Powell) Brock in Prineville, Ore. She married Dick Brown on Oct. 18, 1975, in Prineville.
   She graduated from Crook County High School in 1970. She worked in the construction industry for about 20 years as an office/finance manager. Jeanie was owner of Wildhorse Gallery & Gifts, 102 NW 4th St., in Prineville.
   Her hobbies included water skiing, camping, cooking family dinners and entertaining friends. She enjoyed her grandsons and spending time with her family.
   Survivors include: her husband Dick Brown of Prineville; son Lance Brown, also of Prineville; brother Garry Brock of Prineville; father Arlie B. Brock of Lakeview, Ore.; nieces Vicki Viera of Redmond, Ore., and Lindsey Brown of Prineville; nephews Sean, Tanner and Bodie Brown and grandsons Keaton and Hadlee Brown of Prineville; and many loving aunts, uncles and friends.
   She was preceded in death by her mother.
   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Shane Brown Memorial Fund at Washington Mutual Bank, 550 NE 3rd St., Prineville, Oregon.
   Whispering Pines Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
