Doris "Melissa" Roberts

Doris 'Melissa' Roberts, a resident of Tigard passed away on Monday, February 14, 2005, at Legacy Meridian Park Hospital in Tualatin, Oregon.
   She was 24 years old.
   There will be a memorial service at Prineville Christian Church on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 2 p.m.
   This service will be followed by a celebration of life at Prineville Elks Lodge at 4 p.m.
   Melissa, as all her friends knew her, was born in Prineville, Oregon on August 14, 1980 to Kevin and Sallie (Belshaw) Roberts. When she was two years old she moved with her family to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for nine years. In 1991 she moved with her family to the John Day Valley where she graduated from Grant Union High School in 1998.
   She was also the 1997 Homecoming Queen.
   She eventually graduated from Colorado State University in May of 2002 with a degree in psychology.
   She was currently employed with Meritage Mortgage Company in Tigard, Ore.
   Melissa was an avid reader, loved football, especially the Miami Dolphins and had a fantasy football team for two years.
   She also loved fishing, music and animals, especially her cat Cusak and her five pugs. She also enjoyed socializing with her family and many friends. She treasured her one semester abroad living in Dublin, Ireland. She will be missed by her family and her many friends.
   Her parents, Kevin and Sallie Roberts of Prineville, one brother, Kevin Jerimey Roberts of Redmond, one nephew and one niece survive Melissa.
   Her grandma and Papa Belshaw and grandma Roberts preceded her in death. Arrangements are in the care of the Prineville Funeral Home.
