Lela Clark

Lela May Clark, 81 of Prineville, Ore., passed away Wednesday June 14, 2006. She was born May 25, 1925 in Blythe, Calif., to Eugene and Edna (Moss) LaTour.
   Lela attended school in Blythe, California. After high school she studied for a post graduate course to be a librarian; she worked there for one and a half years. Lela then married David Clark on April 18, 1946 in Quartzite, Arizona. The couple had four boys and raised the children on a ranch in Hampton Butte, Ore.
   Lela has lived in the Prineville area since 1953.
   Survivors include: three sons, Dane and his wife Stacy Clark of Prineville, Ore., Wade and his wife Sharon Clark of Prineville, Ore., Dale Clark of Agila, Ariz.; one brother George Moss of San Francisco, Calif.; one sister Mary Lou Chatelier of Church Falls, Va., and five grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
   Lela was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, Robert Downes, and one son, Blane Clark.
   Lela loved sewing, quilting, reading, horse racing, and working on crossword puzzles. Lela was an avid animal lover, she also loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
