hard Michael Shivers passed away on July 15, 2006. He was 52 years old.
A memorial service will be held at Harwood Park on July 21, 2006 at 6 p.m.
Rick was born to Richard and Myrra Shivers on April 27, 1954 in Bend, Ore.
He was raised and educated in Prineville, graduating from Crook County High School.
After graduating from high school he entered the service and served two years in Germany.
Upon returning he attended college at COCC. He married Patty (Patton) on September 5, 1975 in Salem, Ore.
They resided in the Portland area for several years before moving their family to Prineville.
Rick was the picture of a loving and caring father to all of his children and being a grandpa was the joy of his life. He was deeply loved by his wife, mother, children, brother, sisters and extended family and will eternally be missed by them and all of his friends.
For the past few years he resided in Seattle, Wash., and was employed at the University of Washington.
He loved the outdoors, playing poker and riding his motorcycle. but his biggest passion of all was his family. He is survived by: his wife Patty, his mother Myrra Shivers of Powell Butte; his children Misti and Joe Chiaffino of Bremerton, Wash., Kerry and John Strader of Hornbrook, Calif., and Stacey Horton of Prineville; his grandchildren Jenna, Haley, Kyle, Kaden, Kindal and Savannah; his siblings Larry Shivers, Candace Albright and Ann Duffield, and his beloved dog Tanner.
