Volleyball roundup: North Marion continues to seek first league victory

The North Marion volleyball team dropped a pair of conference games last week on the road at Estacada and at home against Madras.
The Huskies lost 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-10) to the Estacada Rangers Tuesday and followed with a 3-0 loss (25-14, 25-15, 25-14) to the Madras Buffaloes two days later.
North Marion (1-8, 0-3 Tri-Valley) hosts Molalla Tuesday and travels to Gladstone Thursday.
The Bulldogs hosted league foes Dallas and South?Albany last week.
Woodburn dropped the first game 3-0 (25-8, 25-15, 25-16) to Dallas Tuesday and followed with a 3-0 loss (25-10, 25-8, 25-8) to South?Albany Thursday.
The Bulldogs (0-9, 0-6 Mid-Willamette) have a pair of league games on the road at Lebanon and West Albany on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively. The team then travels to North Salem over the weekend to play in a tournament hosted by the Vikings.
The Cougars played a pair of tight contests last week as the team seeks to win its first games of the year.
Gervais hosted Colton Tuesday night and matched the Vikings point-for-point in the second set before eventually falling 3-0 (25-13, 30-28, 25-17).
Two nights later, the Cougars traveled to Amity and lost 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 26-24).
Gervais (0-10, 0-7 West Valley) continues its slate of home games this week, first against Sheridan on Tuesday, followed by a Thursday game against Willamina.
The Trojans continued their recent hot streak, sweeping Regis and Central Linn on back-to-back nights last week to bring their winning streak to five games.
Kennedy beat Regis 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-11) Thursday night and followed with a 3-0 win (25-8, 25-13, 25-10) against the Cobras.
The No. 7 Trojans (12-2, 8-1 Tri-River) play three times this week, including a home rematch against No. 3 Culver (15-1, 8-0) Thursday night.
The No. 3 Buckaroos won five of six games last week, including three games against conference opponents to stay unbeaten in the Casco League.
The teams lone loss came in tournament play to the Glide Wildcats, the No. 5 team in the 3A classification.
The Bucks continue league play this week against Country Christian Tuesday, followed by back-to-back games against Jewell Thursday.
